Allett 24" C-Range 10-Blade Cartridge Description

The cylinder and lower blade of a 24" 10-blade cutting cylinder are made of hardened and ground steel. The advantage of a 10 blade over a 6 blade is a more precise, finer incision. This cylinder is ideal for sports on fine turf, such as golf and cricket. If you want to obtain a golf green finish, you must mow at lower cutting heights. At lower cutting heights, the standard six-blade cartridge will not produce the desired results. By inserting this cartridge, the clip rate increases from 79 to 131 per metre.

Mowers of the cylinder type feature a rotating cylinder with multiple curved blades and one stationary blade (the cutting bar). When these meet as the cylinder rotates, they imitate a scissor-like cutting action, leaving the grass blades with pointed, level tips.

Cylinder cutters are superior to rotary cutters due to their precise, scissor-like cutting motion, which results in a more uniform finish when managed properly. Cylinder mowers require less maintenance than rotary mowers, requiring only occasional sharpening and periodic adjustments to maintain the quality of the cut.
