Allett 14" QC De-Thatcher Cartridge Description

The 14" Dethatcher is the most aggressive cartridge, penetrating the soil to a maximum depth of 6mm with wider-spaced, sturdier tines.

For lawns in severe disarray, the Dethatcher effectively removes the thickest layers of thatch.

The machine picks up and removes layers of thatch, such as decaying grass and leaves, plant stolons, and weed growth, by aggressively penetrating the soil's surface. As a result of its reduced susceptibility to disease, lawns grow healthier, denser, and more lush after its removal. Disease-susceptible lawns encourage the growth of lichen, which should be avoided.

The removal of excessive thatch and vegetation enables more water, oxygen, and nutrients to be absorbed by the grass root, and should be performed at least once a year in late Spring or Autumn when there is sufficient moisture for the grass to recover. The dethatcher cartridge is twice as effective as the Verticut cartridge at removing material
