Stihl Smart Connector Description
STIHL connected is an innovative system for managing the servicing and maintenance of each tool, as well as keeping track of your equipment. Our Smart Connectors are designed to be installed on your tools and record run times, transmitting the data to our STIHL connected app via Bluetooth(R). This enables you to utilise our connected technologies. STIHL connected can be utilised in one of two ways, depending on whether you use your instruments for work or for your personal garden.
STIHL connected for home gardeners
If you are a serious home gardener, you can easily access the connected app and rapidly determine when the next service is required, as the smart connector automatically provides the machine's service schedule. You will not need to refer back to the instructions, and you will be immediately connected with a STIHL Authorised Dealer to schedule a service. It's a convenient method to keep track of the serial numbers of your instruments, and you can connect the connectors to tools not manufactured by STIHL in order to view run times.
STIHL connected for professionals
Worksite performance is where STIHL connected truly excels. Using the clever connectors in conjunction with the connected Pro Portal, you can easily create a comprehensive digital record of your entire tool fleet. This enables precise tracking of which instruments were used when and for how long, which is beneficial for service and maintenance. This is also useful when searching for replacement tools. You can also check which tools are nearby at the end of the day, which is useful if you want to ensure that all items have been returned to the depot.
Please note that the Smart Connector 2A is required for the following AP System professional battery tools: MSA 300 Chainsaw, BGA 300 Blower, KMA 135 R Kombi Tool, HLA 135 Long Reach Hedgetrimmer, FSA 135 and FSA 135 R Brushcutters, HTA 135 Pole Pruner, HSA 130 R and HSA 130 T Hedge Trimmers, and RGA 140 Brushcutter. These devices can only be used with the Smart Connector 2A; the standard Smart Connector is incompatible.
STIHL connected simplifies tool administration and maintenance, whether you're a professional with a large fleet of equipment or a homeowner with a handful of tools.
Stihl Smart Connector Features
WHAT IS STIHL CONNECTED USED FOR?
A: It is extremely easy. Prior to using the STIHL Connected App, create an account on iOS or Google Play. Then, launch the app and prepare your devices. What product you want to link will be requested of you. You can connect some of the more recent STIHL items simply scanning the QR code on the device. The model and serial number must be manually entered if there is no QR code. You must now connect your machine to the STIHL Smart Connector. Again, a model-specific video in the app will demonstrate how to do this for the majority of new STIHL devices. If there isn't a video, the Smart Connector needs to be attached wherever the sensor can detect an electrical current. Your product should now be configured in the app.
HOW DO I USE THE APP?
A complete list of your machines, their status, and their upcoming maintenance schedules will then be visible to you. Additionally, you can view the machines that are "Nearby" to your device in Bluetooth range.
THE STIHL CONNECTED PORTAL IS FOR WHO?
A: The portal was created primarily for business customers that need to manage a variety of tools, but can also be used for tools you use around the home.

A dashboard is a feature of the portal that shows a variety of data, such as work times, machine productivity, running time, latest product locations, planned maintenance and repairs, and tool condition.
