Stihl GTA40 Cordless Pruner Kit (2x AS2 Batteries & Charger)

The first battery-operated pruner designed specifically for professional use is the STIHL GTA 40. Powered by two AS 2 lithium-ion batteries, this tool is a component of the AS System and can be used both on the ground and in the air. Perfect for professional horticultural and landscaping work, treating trees and shrubs, processing wood on building sites and working in tree canopies or reducing crowns.

The ¼" PM3 saw chain and strong EC engine allow for smooth cutting, and the variable chain speed gives you complete control over the cutting speed while you're using it. Along with a tool-free chain oil tank that can accommodate six AS 2 batteries, the GTA 40 also has a sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and automated chain lubrication. An upper grip and a soft rubberised handle help keep you from slipping when using it. The cutting attachment and the upper grip region are separated by the claw-shaped deflector at the top of the tool. Please be advised that the GTA 40 was designed to be used with 2 hands. The rocker on both sides of the tool allows both left-handed and right-handed people to use it. You may hook the tool onto a belt using an attachment ring for convenient access whether you're working on the ground or in the air. For easy access while working, the GTA 40 holster is also offered.To transfer the tool, the GTA 40 comes with a hardcase that can accommodate up to six AS 2 batteries and an AL 5-2 high-speed charger.

Two AS 2 batteries that are discharged in parallel are used by the GTA 40. You can't operate the tool with just one battery. Easily readable, the tool's charge level indicator is situated on the top of the device. Two AS 2 batteries can be swiftly and concurrently recharged in fifty minutes with the included AL 5-2 high-speed charger.

Side Mounted Chain Tensioning - Side-mounted chain tensioning allows for protected, easy and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is inserted laterally through the sprocket cover.

Tool Free Oil Tank - Thanks to the soft grip on the control handle, the chainsaw sits comfortably in the hand and can be operated safely. In addition, the users grip is improved by the soft material, which helps when using the chainsaw in wet conditions.

LED Charge-Level Indicator - At the push of a button, the LED charge-level indicator will show the battery’s remaining capacity. This allows you to efficiently plan working hours and charge the battery in good time.

Hanging Eye & Overload Ring - To secure the GTA 40 against falling during climbing work, the overload ring can be attached to the climbing harness.

Captive Nuts -  When changing the cutting attachment, you will not risk losing the nuts on the sprocket.

Constant Power - When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

IPX4 Certified - Thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
