Stihl KMA80R Power Unit Shell

Designed for use in domestic gardens, the STIHL KMA 80 R is the first battery-powered KombiMotor in the AK System of garden equipment. Driven by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery, it is quiet, efficient, strong enough to handle a range of garden chores including cutting, mowing, clearing, and pruning! Attaching and changing tools is made easy also; all you have to do is slide your selected tool into the shaft and tighten to fix it in place (except FSB-KM).

Designed with a new style loop handle with a quick-mounting system, you may change the handle to fit your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle also makes handling chores on hills, around trees or on uneven ground considerably simpler. With a strong brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle—which can be set at two different speed settings—the KMA 80 R is For KombiTool fit for basic chores like trimming lawn edges, there is an ECO mode (level 1), which results in reduced energy consumption for longer battery life. And there is full speed mode (level 2), for KombiTool fit for jobs requiring greater power, such leaf clearing which calls for extra battery life. But depending on the KombiTool connected, the speed change can also be infinitely flexible.

With the KMA 80, you can use any of the AK batteries; but, working times will vary depending on the attachment you employ. If you are going to be using the tool for a longer duration of time, say for hedge trimming, the recommended AK 30 cell will provide you the longest operating periods but is also the heaviest of the AK batteries therefore you may chose to use a smaller capacity battery.

Standard basic harness is supplied with the KMA 80 R. Kombi Tool offered separately.
